Popcorn ceiling textures are one of the more commonly known materials that may contain asbestos. These textures may have anywhere from 1 – 7% chrysotile asbestos or may contain none at all. The only way to determine the asbestos content is testing in a randomized fashion following the EPA’s AHERA guidelines.
