CORONAVIRUS Surface, Molecular Testing Kit (SARS-CoV-2)
In response to the growing health and safety crisis, Hawk Environmental Services is proud to introduce surface molecular testing for Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) utilizing a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) method. Positive results indicate viral genetic material of the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) on material tested.
This test kit is used to report on coronavirus as detect or non-detect per sample provided.
All samples are analyzed on Roche Pharmaceuticals equipment approved by the FDA under the Emergency Use Authorization and are processed in a CLIA certified facility.

PCR Molecular Testing for Coronavirus
While medical and support services have responded to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes COVID-19 infections, we have seen many schools, restaurants, and other businesses close their doors. Most businesses have improved their cleaning and hygiene policies overall. However, it can be difficult to verify cleanliness and produce accurate logs that will help prevent employees or customers from becoming infected, and limit liability.
Hawk Environmental Services can ship out test kits with prepaid return labels to allow businesses to test, verify, and document that cleaning practices are sufficient to remove viral genetic material of SARS-CoV-2 (this is a direct test for the Coronavirus).
This test kit is used to assess the presence of viral genetic material on hard surface areas and the effectiveness of cleaning procedures. This test detects the genetic signature (RNA) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in swab samples from contaminated environmental surfaces with clinical instrumentation using RT-PCR for specific detection of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). RT-PCR, a molecular diagnostic test, detects and quantifies the viral RNA using real time (RT) reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Positive results indicate the presence of the viral genetic material SARS- CoV-2 nucleic material but does not rule out the presence of other viral and bacterial contamination.
